Driving forward and sustainably securing the energy transition through innovation
This paper contains our key findings for the transition to a climate-neutral energy system. These are based on the extensive research done within Helmholtz Energy on this topic. With this paper, we provide a brief overview of the most important measures and provide guidance for all interested parties.
The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. A successful transformation of the energy system requires the cooperation of various scientific disciplines, as not only technical, but also economic and social aspects must be taken into account when converting to a climate-neutral energy system. This can only be achieved through pioneering innovations.
Thanks to interdisciplinary expertise, researchers from Helmholtz Energy have analyzed the complex interplay between energy demand, economic and social goals as well as environmental concerns and identified the most important measures to drive forward the energy transition, optimally plan investments and increase acceptance of the transformation. These measures are described in detail in the position paper. Take a look for yourself. You can download the position paper as a PDF below this text.
